I’d go back further and say Sleepy Hollow was the last Burton film that felt like “classic” Burton. Big Fish is brilliant, and I bawl, BAWL and the end, but somehow it doesn’t really feel like a Tim Burton film ( for me anyway, and maybe cause it has a more realistic tone to it )

Just recently my mom messaged me and accused me stealing money from her drawer over 20 years ago. I messaged her back saying it wasn’t me, we all knew it was on of my brothers degenerate buddies. We FaceTime and I tell her again it wasn’t me. She says ok and then I hear from my sister a few days later she doesn’t believe me because in 2006 ( 8 years after the fact ) I had a bad time with drugs and stole money from work. So she’s taken that isolated incident and convinced herself that if I stole money then I must’ve done it in 1998!

I just watched 16 Blocks yesterday having not seen it since it came out ( 2006 ). I didn’t even know Richard Donner had directed it and he hadn’t directed since. Probably one of Bruce’s best performances in the last 15 years! But anyway, went through Donners credits on IMDB after watching and the guy directed some of the most amazing films from my childhood/teenage years . And this morning I’m reading he’s gone.
