It worse then that. These places thrive on the "obey the adults" schools drill into the kids. Even if a kids knows they are being fucked over they won't stand up for themselves cause they have been trained that way for years.

It's also a voter turnout issue. I really don't know why people expect the leaders to represent them when they don't vote.
The lack of voters is why single issue voters are so powerful.
Hell, we got Trump out of a GOP race that only had 28% turnout and what, 10 candidates?

Better hurry though, that salt water ocean is about to come in and you need to check your salt water dryer to refill your salt bucket.

We should get these cronies out of office!

COMMENT 3d ago
Then show up on voting day.
Na, someone else will do it.
3 out of 10 show up to vote.
Why don't our leaders represent me?!

What's mind numbing is how little participation people have in these levels of governments then constantly complain things don't go their way.

Vote. It's the best thing you can do. Only 30% of Seattle votes in locals.
If everyone bitching about it voted the problem would be getting worked on.

Keep this in mind when talking about Fusion as well. Once it becomes marketable, we will see a heavy anti fusion campaign start. The power brokers of the world will not allow a new power source to ruin their business.

So cheap manufacturing or lack of quality control is what turns these suppose to be very long lasting lights into just a few year replacement? Have you seen signs of designed failure for planned obsolescence?

Is the on/off cycle still the stress point of failure on those?

Short hand slang. It's a global world out there. Get over it.
Ads that are adding up.

Wasn't a lot of the major car companies getting together to fight against "right to repair"? I can see them not wanting people to be able to program out their bullshit.

Actually it kinda dose when ranching holds 455,000 cattle and will just use any grazing lands the 52,000 horses had. Also the drop in water table from well pumps supplying alfalfa farms in the desert to feed cattle the area already can not sustain.
Removing the horse will cause little to no change. Removing the cattle will greatly reduce water usage in a desert as well as free up massive grazing lands.

COMMENT 6d ago
Or even better completely avoid the isle. Nothing worse in a store then dead space that doesn't sell.
1
COMMENT 6d ago
The water table is going down due to Alfalfa farmers growing food in the desert to support the 455,000 cattle that are displacing wild herds from what little grazing lands remain.
2
COMMENT 6d ago
If you grew up here then you know what power the ranchers have in their counties. Hell, the miners will support the ranchers in this case since pesky environmental issues always seem to get the blame for the busts.
Tell me you really believe if the horses are removed/die out, that ranchers just won't get use of the grazing lands.
Vegas and Reno generally side with the horse. But if the horses are removed apathy will win and no one will really think of the native species.
This has to happen in a certain order or the whole thing will collapse. Right now Ranchers have too much say over BLM and make sure local politicians support em.

COMMENT 6d ago
Humans lower the water table growing Alfalfa. Then have their cattle consume the available grazing lands.

If people pushing this actually cared about the ecology, there wouldn't be cattle/sheep ranching. Funny how you keep omitting the largest ecology threats outside of mining.
And yes it is part of the topic as Horses vs ranchers have been a northern Nevada thing for a long time now.
There are about 52,000 wild horses. 455,000 cattle + 1,000's more sheep.
What's you plan for removing all the cattle? Cause the reality is, less horses won't change a dam thing unless the cattle go too. The cattle will just use that grazing land and nothing changes. Hell, cattle in Nevada tie into Nevada's other major problem, water.

Yep, last presidential primary was 35% turnout, the one before 30%.
People don't seem to understand that the primary is where we choose our leaders. The general is where you choose the party.
