Your experience is not universal. I had family and coworkers hospitalized from covid. I have other friends and family that are medical professionals that saw many people die from COVID before the vaccines came out to the general public.

In all seriousness, I am in the same boat with a newborn. I have a home gym setup though so I plan to use that when the baby naps during the day. Probably taking a few days off first though. I’m sleep deprived now.

It’s one of those situations where the Reddit opinion doesn’t match up with real life. On Reddit, everyone that has kids is a miserable zombie wasting their life. In my personal life, all of my friends that have kids absolutely love it.

There are some but they are fewer and far between.

I feel like OP’s situation goes beyond just the normal difficulties of having a kid. Being deeply unhappy because you ended up a single parent because you had a baby with a one night stand is a lot different than a couple that is committed and has the financial capability and family support to do it right.

For sure. If you’re a local it’s definitely worth a try but if I lived further away I can’t say I would recommend making the drive to get it.
