It's okay if we have days without new content, that's normal for a specific leak sub. No one wants to come in, see there's a new post, get hopium levels up and then it's "Hey guys, this oni character has horns so I think that other oni character will also have horns!!!" (This was seriously a submission one day).

There's a difference between a free 4star and an event that gives you one as a reward in the shop. The only free 4star so far was Barbara, every example you gave was an event reward. The patch isnt giving the reward, the event is.

Sure, maybe what uncle meant was that we're getting another event with a 4star reward, but its not clear.

That might be just the shop rewards. Some events have rewards from beating stages/quests/achievements along with shop rewards. That and events can Aldo have more than one shop.

Yes he's a Harbinger but he's never mentioned again, so the event didn't impact plot for now. And his role was minimum, nothing that will impact plot for you when he does appear again. And we don't know, they may introduce him again for the sake of those who missed the event, or even rerun the event, or both.

If your one reason for not playing genshin is having missed this one event, I'd say go play, you have literally missed nothing.

Neither genshin character has been relevant to the story itself, and the game gives you introduction dialogue in monas quest in case you didn't do the event. Hat character has never been seen or mentioned again.

Of all the good reasons available to not start genshin, you had to go find one that makes no sense
