Campus sabotage is taking it a little far, esp because janitors aren't responsible for this. If students want to get serious about this issue, organize protests on campus. Post all over social media. Mass boycott the covid testing, mass boycott going to class. Is the university really going to suspend hundreds, maybe thousands, of students? No they're not. But these undergrads need to get serious about this, simply refusing to shower is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Actually, more like cutting off your nose to spite someone else's face

1.25 mL is too much, aim for 0.75

COMMENT 14h ago

Are you sure? The guide says when you're about 20%-30% colonized and this is more like maybe 5-10%. I've read people losing bags over breaking and shaking too early. My instincts say not to. That being said growth has stalled and moving forward very slowly

Well it's a fair complaint, but refusing to shower is probably the most useless way to protest it. Universities are used to students complaining about it, most of my undergrad dorms (didn't go to BU for bachelor's) weren't AC either. Administration doesn't care. Freshmen just tough it out and use your time effectively. Taking like 2+ hours to go to BC just for a shower? Treating people who do shower as outcasts? What a joke, I'd hate to be a student here

edit: hey freshmen keep bathing me with these warm yummy downvotes, mmm salty

What BC showers are available for public use

COMMENT 15h ago

It won’t. It didn’t work last year and it won’t work this year. Nobody cares if freshmen don’t shower for the first week or two. By mid-late September it’ll be cooler outside and everyone will forget about this

Those people weren’t really your friends if they stopped talking to you over taking a shower

COMMENT 20h ago

Yeah there’s some good mods that add trees to the city, but not the surrounding land, so whiterun looks like a weird little patch of trees. But inside it looks gorgeous like riverrun

I'm 10 days post inoc and I injected right in front of the view window. I have some decent growth so far but it's limited to just the view window. I've had the bags on their side the whole time. Should I stand them up too?

Mid-Cultivation / Still Growing Almost 2 weeks after inoc, is this bag ready to break and shake? The only growth seems to be against the view window, the rest of the rice feels uncolonized

  1. Anytime you stick the needle into the bag you risk contamination. The fewer times you do this, the better

  2. As long as you thoroughly flicked and mixed the spore syringe you should be fine. The spores are too small to see and evenly dispersed throughout the solution. It's not possible to inject "too many spores" but it is possible to inject too much spore solution because you want the humidity to be just right

At absolute minimum to inoculate:

gloves

face mask

70% isopropyl alcohol

paper towels

lighter

spore syringe

bags of rice (plain brown)

Lysol spray

micropore tape

By making a post on a public forum you’re inviting other users to comment and ask questions on your post. That’s literally how this website works. If this is your attitude then maybe this isn’t the right subreddit for you to participate in

I never said it was an excuse, and if you misinterpreted the tone of my question then that’s your problem, not mine. I asked a reasonable question in good faith. And it actually is our business what he’s doing with them, when you post to a public forum you invite anyone to comment on the post
