It's just odd that you'd need to add more sugar in order for it to keep its consistency better. Not really sure what to tell you at this point, I use store bought lactose free cream cheese for my baking, so it could very well be the difference

How soft/runny is your cream cheese at room temp?

First things first, if something is too sweet, reduce sugar. Salt is not a direct counter to sugar so adding more salt would likely not make them any less sweet

In all my time with android I've never found a solution for this that works as well as it does on iOS. Without intervention from Google, I doubt this will ever change and honestly, while it's definitely great to have, it's not strictly necessary
