Good players shine regardless of outcomes. If they go through their entire career, multiple coaches, different teams, different teammates, and at the end of the day they never amount to anything significant… you can bet it’s probably not on that 1 year he spent playing a bit over his head at 18-19 years old….

Some guys have “it” some guys don’t. Unfortunately we seem to draft the players that don’t….

COMMENT 4d ago

Dude, we just can’t draft lol. We haven’t drafted a high profile offensive player since Patch in 2007.

Development is on the player. The organization supplies all the same tools to develop as other teams if not more. If we draft a dud, no amount of development is going to turn them into offensive superstars…. Our 2 best centers in the last decade have not been drafted by the Habs

COMMENT 4d ago

Both players you listed weren’t drafted by Montreal. We can’t draft. That simple.

COMMENT 5d ago

The sad part is there’s a huge portion of people online that will literally morph their entire view on music to be in line with this guy. It’s crazy.

1

COMMENT 5d ago

Because he speaks with fancy words, talks with his eyes closed and wears glasses like some hipster woke loser. People think he’s educated.

COMMENT 5d ago

Can’t shine a turd into a diamond unfortunately.

Also, just a little pet peeve of mine…. When people obsess over TOI numbers lol. It’s so stupid to me. A player will get more icetime when he plays better than his teammates. KK didn’t get icetime because he wasn’t better than Suzuki or Danault.

Case in point, our drafting record pre 2012 and post 2007. Trevor Timmins is the problem.

4

COMMENT 6d ago

Yes, I’ve done the extensive analysis back in 2019 dating from the 2008 draft, so even pre-Bergevin. Basically a way to show how shit Trevor Timmins was at drafting impact offensive NHL players based on draft position.

We were literally 28th or 27th out of 30 teams (Vegas wasn’t included for recency sake). I won’t post it again because I think I’ve posted it 3 different times but just trust me on this one. I spent a good day and a half compiling data and running numbers.

Sadly some people do, and they will spit that rhetoric until the day the government announces a new lockdown, then they will say booster shots are the way to freedom….

So sad how mindless some people are

There’s struggling and there not showing an ounce of high end potential. KK was the latter. Once we watched him play for a few seasons most realized his potential was nothing more than an average 2C AT BEST, and he was currently sitting as a fringe NHLer, far from certain to reach that ceiling.

6.1 million, plus another 6 next year? No thanks, lol.

COMMENT 7d ago

Well we drafted him and all understood it was a bit of a reach, but still believed in potential, then after his rookie year his play declined year after year. We’re not delusional we just watch our sport unlike a lot of fanbases that don’t pay attention 70% of the time.

You sound like an idiot.

I LOVE how they frame that “1st round picks with Bergevin” tweet. Basically insinuating that our first round picks under him have all been terrible…. Leads you to believe that Bergevin can’t draft in the first round….

BUT WAIT A MINUTE….. What did our first round picks look like BEFORE 2012…. Oh… right…. They were Fkn abysmal since 2007.

The only linking piece? Trevor Timmins. This guy should have been shot into the sun 10 years ago.

COMMENT 7d ago

There’s no whiplash lol anyone who was watching him for the last 2 years and wasn’t entranced by his 3rd overall status knew that he was a fringe NHLer.

I mean, feel free to go search my post history or the Habs board for KK posts and you’ll see most thought he was a major disappointment.

The health care system has been overloaded and mismanaged since before you were born.

COMMENT 7d ago

If everyone is vaccinated you’re not saving any lives wearing a mask

0

COMMENT 7d ago

Even at 100% vaccination in the country, the narrative will simply shift to booster shots, the people who can’t see this are honestly fucking retarded. We aren’t getting out of this until we stand up to this shit.

0

COMMENT 7d ago

Nah, you suck it up. Get your shot, move the fuck on. That’s it. I’m not okay living like this for the next 5 years, I’ve enjoyed my life and I plan on enjoying it like I used to now. We’ve made the sacrifice for two years, two years of our lives we will never get back. So YOU fucking suck it up. Get your shot, get your boosters if you want, do wtv the fuck you feel like it, and that’s it.

We need to stop blaming the public and your fellow citizen for incompetencies in the government run health care system

-3

COMMENT 7d ago

Really? We can go back to normal life? That’s news to me…. Last I checked I still need to wear a mask everywhere, there’s still capacity limits to my favorite hockey teams, I can’t play in my usual rec league hockey…. Shall I go on?

I think the vaccine is doing the work on mitigating hospital visits more than anything. As is evident by our death numbers from last summer vs this one….

Once everyone has a chance to get the vaccine, then I don’t see the issues other than “our health care system is terrible” which doesn’t seem logical.

1

COMMENT 10d ago

This is a health care system issue. Not a society issue.

Our health care system needs to wake up, because if it's shutting down when 0.000001% of the population is administered to it, then we have serious issues.

COMMENT 10d ago

you realize that people eat peanuts everywhere right? like I can eat a peanut butter sandwhich and breath on a person with a deadly peanut allergy by accident and they might need an epipen....

Like you literally just described life as we know it.

4

COMMENT 10d ago

Says a lot about our health care system if you ask me.

1

COMMENT 10d ago

I mean it does only affect you.... The vaccine is protecting you from dying from Covid.... Who else would it affect?

Your logic is flawed.

You claim antivaxxers wanted people to make the deliberate choice to go out or not. Risk their lives or stay home.

That classifies as a decision based on choice.

Now you are insinuating that they are getting a taste of their medicine by staying home.... but their not doing it by choice.

Therefore it classifies as a decision based on force.

The anti vaxxers are, whether you like it or not, advocating for Pro-choice. Make your own decisions and live with your own consequences.

They are now experiencing the opposite of choice. Therefore exactly the opposite of what they believe in.

I don't think you fully grasp the ethical issues at play.

COMMENT 10d ago

Oh you mean the whopping 0.0001% of the population? Ah I see, we should shatter all social norms and restrict all our freedoms for the bubble boys and girls of this world!

Maybe if you're immunodepressed the onus of responsibility for being overly cautious should be on you.

Just like if I had a peanut allergy. It would be my responsibility to make sure my food doesn't contain nuts....not ask the world to stop peanut production.

Medical privacy for simple things like walking into a restaurant or going to the gym... Whether you are for or against the passport, there is no denying it is an invasion of personal medical privacy. The debate is whether or not it is a necessary invasion or not.
