One focused on the sex and professional lives of four women in their early 30s living while the other focused on an elderly mother and daughter living with two other elderly women in a retirement community. The only commonality is that it’s a group of four women with romantic interest.

What bullshit. Black students make up no more than 10% of most universities and less than 10% of most top universities. There is no epidemic of Black students taking the spots of Asians in classrooms unless you think the percentage should be closer to 0. Most of the Black students at these top schools are second generation African immigrants who worked their asses off to be there. I should know, I went to the 15th highest ranked school in the country.

I’m Black and I scored a 32 on the ACT while graduating the top of the class at my majority White school. I absolutely deserved to be at my University regardless of my race. The same could be said of every Black student I met. These weren’t slackers who got in for checking a box. American universities look at students holistically. It doesn’t matter if you scored high on the ACT or got grades if you are lacking in elite extracurriculars or community service. This applies to every applicant and it is a problem with many Asian applicants. They are often not well rounded outside of the classroom.

Legacy students, who are majority White, have a far greater boost than Affirmative Action. You should be complaining about the fact that most of these schools admit that your chances of being admitted dramatically increase if you parents or grandparents graduated there first. No one ever seems to cry about that. In fact, over 25% of my graduating class were legacy students. If my future children ever get into my school for the bare minimum, it will be because I graduated from there first . It won’t be because of their skin color.
