My IUD failed. I've been with my partner since 2015 and up until recently, I made about $13/hour. There was no way in hell with my wage and him being in grad school we could have raised a kid.

Something else I think people overlook, because men can't obviously have abortions and they're the ones yelling most of the time, is that it's not something that's simple or easy, even in places where access is fairly open. If you go the medication route, you're in for a pretty miserable time. You wear those big ass pads that are like a diaper and you're going to be feeling your uterus contract like you never have before. I couldn't stand up straight from all the pain. I basically laid in bed and hoped I'd either pass out or die. 0/10, do not recommend. No one's going out and sleeping with whomever just so they have to go through that. It's a procedure that's hard mentally AND physically.

Don't forget that these same people understand nothing of actual science and want ectopic pregnancies to be transplanted from the tube to the uterus. And would likely manage to criminalize the lifesaving "abortion" that has to be performed. Because a pregnancy outside of the uterus is not viable and will likely kill both parties.

Why is it always Tammy? I have an ultra religious aunt named Tammy who is always sending me Christian stuff. It's easier for me to just play along than it is to explain why I never believed in Jesus.

Depends on when and where it happened. If it happens at work and the state's laws don't define spanking, I'm a mandated reporter and will have to call it in, unless spanking is defined in the law and is allowed as a punishment. If I'm out in public and it's not going into physical abuse, there's not really much I can do. But, regardless of setting, if someone is hitting the shit out of a child and endangering them, you best bet all 5 feet of me is stepping in.

Do I condone spanking? Absolutely not and I will not be using it with my child/ren. But I don't have the authority to tell someone else to not spank and doing so in public isn't going to change anything. You're better off trying to educate I'm a situation where the spanker doesn't feel threatened or shamed. You can tell out your stats all you want, but in a charged moment of emotions, the spanker is going to double down.

Getting a boy and girl will lead to one thing- babies. A same sex pair or a sterilized opposite pair is fine. But OP even said there is a second piggy, so I don't quite understand why you brought the Swiss law into this. Please don't encourage irresponsible piggy ownership by suggesting a mating pair when we don't need more oopsie babies in the piggy world.

Parent meetings count towards that average. Report writing can, depending on the funding source. Now that Tricare is giving us 8 for an initial and 6 for reauths, I don't have to worry about needing more time but not being able to bill for it.

The only funding source that's iffy is the state's medicaid. They don't reimburse for parent meetings, but we've made a once per month meeting mandatory for all our parents with the new 6 meetings/auth Tricare had imposed, just to make it fair. I haven't gotten a medicaid family yet, so I'm not sure what we'll do with that. I'll cross that bridge once I get there. I need more clients regardless of funding source at the moment. We've been open 6 months and only have one client.

I work in-clinic and I'm expected to bill 30 hours per week. We have a bit of wiggle room, especially with the pandemic and kids being out, but averaging 30/week is the expectation. I would usually schedule myself for 38/week while knowing there would be some changes based on kids/RBTs being out, kids getting picked up/dropped off at a different time, RBTs asking for more supervision with a particular client, etc.

Rumble strutting is normal in males and females as a way of saying "I'm the big pig around here!" Humping is also normal and is a way of establishing pecking order, even in females. So long as no blood is drawn, they should be left to figure it out, otherwise they'll have to start all over when they're reunited and could even escalate if they see it as an affront on their space.

If blood is drawn, throw a towel over one and use that to pick them up. Maybe even oven mitts if they're being spicy. An amped up piggy will bite with no remorse and no hesitation. Those little teeth hurt when they bite full force!

When I was interviewed, I got asked regarding my profrssional view on punishment, about difficult situations I've encountered, and pay. They asked me about pay first, so that one threw me. They also asked my professional view on restraints. We're a restraint-free facility and they had been burned by a BCBA that was a bit too eager to use punishment. They wanted to make sure my values lined up with theirs in those departments.

Personally, I wish I had asked about what happens when RBTs call out sick, session cancellation/illness policy (and exactly how strictly it's enforced), how much oversight could be expected, and what the expectations were of the BCBA in the event the place was severely short staffed. Luckily, I'm in a position where I get to make more of the decisions regarding coverage when people are out, but there was a time last year in the previous clinic where we were so short staffed that all BCBAs were pulling direct shifts and it was a fucking nightmare for scheduling. I went home crying most days because of how stressed I was trying to fit in direct sessions with also making sure my cases were supervised. And my bosses are also anti-mask, so COVID hasn't been a great time.....

That's so interesting that the hay sets you off! I've had allergy testing done for an unrelated condition and one of my big ones was timothy hay. But I've never had an issue with the dried stuff!

Is there a specific fiber content you're looking for? I'm kind of a snob and have gotten my stash to natural fibers only. Mostly wool

I'm interested. Can you give me an idea of what you're looking for in a colorway and I'll see what I have?

It depends! Last year, I got one full skein, a bunch of minis, some stitch markers, a mug, and a bunch of other bits and bobs. I've seen some that are ONLY yarn, ONLY stitch markers, etc. I haven't seen any that are particular to one pattern, but I'm sure those are out there.

This song came out the year I was dating someone I thought I'd be with for the rest of my life. I remember thinking how ironic it'd be if we broke up because this would be our break-up song. Long story short, he dumped me after one of the worst years of my life and then for the next 3 years of college, he pretended I didn't exist. So, Neal, if you're reading this: fuck you, you selfish prick.

And you know the blankets they get won't look like the picture at all, so then they'll rant about it and it'll make it even harder for truly hand knit items to be sold for their actual value.

They go to three churches? Do they start at like 6 and end at noon or something? That's insane

Exactly! I take like 12 different pills just to keep my immune system from attacking my skin. If I forget them or don't have them for too long then it's a bad time for everyone involved.

Depends on the cost of the prosthetic, most likely. I'm not an amputee, so I don't know how it works, but if it's anything like other programs (in the US), then I doubt insurance will pay for it leaving the person to foot the bill. We may see income inequality manifest in the prosthetic people can reasonably get and it will further the myth that poor people are only on disability because "they don't want to work". "They could just get one of the new prosthetics that let them be normal, but they just want to collect disability and not work!"

"But you don't look sick!" Yea, Karen, that's the whole point. My meds keep me from looking like a back alley Kardashian. If I don't "look sick", that means I'm doing something right!
