Cat would 100% follow just to mess with dog. She treats him like a minion anyway, so no way she'd allow her staff to own more Soft Spots than her LOL

We have two giant cat trees in just our living room and Noxy (cat in pic) and Onyx (other cat) will throw down over 1 of the 6 identical perches in those cat trees. We could turn the entire living room into one big cat bed and they'd still war over the same 4 inches in a corner :')

Yup - 3 drops of dish soap on a paper towel, wipe across mirror, shine up mirror with microfiber cloth and rub soap into mirror with it, bam. Won't fog up for months lol, no shaving cream required LOL.

Our lab plays like a normal dog until we bring a piece of string or grass out - then he'll attempt to swat at it like our cats do and look incredibly incompetent while doing so!! It's so funny to see him attempt to "hunt" while our cats just silently judge him from the other side of the room for being such an incredibly bad hunter 😂

I just wanted to say that this is an incredible document.
Seriously, it's my job to have to explain super complicated things to complete novices - your explanations are so clear and easy to follow that I may just show my team this doc as an example/reference of how to clearly explain things. The screenshots are wonderful and I love the way you give outs to people who might be more familiar with XML already.
I know this comment has nothing to do with what you actually wrote but seriously, credit where it's due. I have no idea how established/happy you are in your career, but if you're just starting out after graduation and unsure what to do yet, hit me up honestly - I'm that impressed.

During my masters thesis I was nervous about the plagiarism checker - my topic had to be described in a super specific way leaving me with basically 0 synonyms to put stuff into my own words. But it ended up at just 3% flagged, my supervisor said that they only get suspicious when it's above 10%! Those things really do know their stuff, I was impressed.

I've got 400 hours of phoebe-basebuilding, aesthetic focused, utopian glory playthroughs. I'm so fucking excited for this, the belief system alone will basically nullify all the annoying tweaks and 'restrictions' I place upon playthroughs in order to build the Valhallas I want.
Can. Not. Wait.

Ysyk generally you can feed a dog cat food, but not vice versa because cats have harsher dietary needs than dogs. Not advocating doing so ofc, get each species their own food, just saying that if your unexpectedly run out of dogfood but you have a cat - it's fine for a few days. It's just way way more expensive to feed a dog catfood of course if you have a non-small breed of dog.

Tbf when I read the title the first thing I thought of was how over the moon I would be if Valve agreed to put a marriage proposal in Portal 3 for me to propose with. I'd guess they'd put it hidden on a wall somewhere along the "cake is a lie" messages. Wouldn't matter how obscure it is, I'd just hand the controller over to my SO and maybe subtly point out a 'hidden' passage to explore.
Difference between me and OP being ofc that Portal, and video games in general, have a lot of meaning to our relationship.
I'd think if Spiderman had the same kind of importance to us then I'd just let my SO play the game whilst I giddily waited for them to find the easteregg - ring at the ready for the moment they did!

As a math tutor, I would like to say that I've tutored a lot of students who thought they couldn't do math - but it turned out they didn't understand math the way it's usually explained to students. Those gifted in the arts/languages always did so. much. better when I explained the math visually with lots of actual world examples. I've found that if you're more artistically inclined you're better ignoring individual rules and being taught to see the whole picture first. From that understanding I then go down the ladder of individual rule explanations and in my experience this tends to stick 1000% better than dragging them through tiny rule after tiny rule without knowing what the end-game is.

I exist because of a policy like that. My dad didn't smoke and asked his supervisor if he could have an "apple break" instead of a smoke break when he first started working. Supervisor said no, so my dad reluctantly took up smoking a couple times a day to get a 5 minute break in his no-break-otherwise shifts. He still didn't really like smoking and would usually only do it at work. Then one day a pretty lady was fumbling with her lighter at a bus stop and my dad whipped out his own and lit her cigarette for her. 5 years later and the pretty lady gave birth to me!

Confession: When my annoying neighbours are being loud in their garden I sometimes command my well trained dog to do a single loud bark. Sets off their shitty untrained dogs and usually forces them to go inside or the barking won't stop. Then I get to enjoy my garden in silence after rewarding my good pupper lol

High quality kitty kibble 3x a day (our youngest idiot cannot be freefed without getting very fat, so we just spread their allotted amount of food per day over 3 feeds). Then after the 2nd feed they get chicken soup/kibble soup. Kibble soup is what we give them when we don't feel like boiling chicken for chicken soup. We put in 2 pieces of kibble into roughly 4/5 table spoons of water, and then grate 1 piece of kibble over it so the water tastes like kibble. It's how we ensure they stay hydrated regardless of how much they drink!

I'd also add that if you wear blue jeans on Monday, black on Tuesday, then you can cycle back to the blue ones on Wednesday. As long as you alternate 2 colors with a different top every day noone will notice. I had to do this at my first office internship because I only had 2 pairs of good jeans and i was a poor student lol. Noone ever said anything and my performance review said I "presented as professionally dressed and groomed during her internship at [company]". My field is very customer intensive so if anyone had noticed/had an issue I would've 100% been told about it.

I'm glad your pup gets the benefits from both breeds! I'm sure she's adorable too, sounds like a super cute mix!! Hahaha I have a Maine coon + a Maine coon/ragdoll mix myself and with all the grooming maintenance that goes into keeping the little divas happy I might just get a Sphinx next too 😜! You're definitely right, the dogbreed world vs catbreed world are so incredibly different when it comes to health issues, it was maddening trying to find a breed suited to our lifestyle while making sure they're as healthy as can be. Luckily our brown lab is the pinnacle of health, but it still came with a weird amount of work to keep him that way (avoiding stairs, adhering very strictly to the 5min per month old rule, no playing fetch on anything that isn't grass etc etc). Your neighbors poor doggo :( my husband told me about the 1.5 year old German Shepard they had to put down at the shelter because his back, knees and spine were so fucked up (due to no restrictions on mobility as a pup + shit breeding) that there would've been no way for him to have any kind of a pain free life :'(. At least people are speaking out against this type of shoddy selective breeding now and I really hope we'll see healthier breeds in the future..

It was really sobering to read about the ridiculous amount of health problems that have been bred into so many breeds. There's only a small amount of problematic cat breeds (munchkin/american curl mostly) so as a cat person looking for my first dog it really threw me. Eventually decided that honestly just getting a labrador from a working line with both parents tested for hip dysplasia was prob the healthiest choice out there (when it comes to purebreds anyway).
Really messed up stuff to read about, still makes me sad when i look at my pups frenchie friend and see them struggle :(

Not sure about your country, but in mine if you have a business (like OP does), you want to get a prenup not because of the potential earnings getting split 50/50 in a divorce - but in case of your spouse racking up debt that can then be made whole through your business. I actually fully agree with you that if you spend 20 years with a spouse then yeah.. I have no issue splitting all of our assets 50/50. But lets say OPs sisters husband loses their mind and racks up 50k credit card debt - without any protections in place like a prenup or a trust, creditors can come after OPs business to get their money. If you started this business before meeting/marrying your spouse I'd say most people would find it reasonable to sign a document saying "I'm fine to split my personal money and assets but my business is mine alone".
Lastly, inheritance is tricky in some countries. Mine used to be that without a prenup, your spouse would also have the right to 50% of any inheritance you might get. But a lot of people would want to leave their money to their child and grandchildren, and only allow the spouse of their child access to their inheritance in order to support their grandkids ya know?
Hope that clears it up! I literally got married last January and we had to do some extensive research into getting a prenup or not. In my situation, I just graduated with quite some student debt whereas my husband has significant savings. We wanted to make sure that if we married, and I got run over by a bus the day after, he wouldn't be on the hook for my debt.

Exactly. Lol I say objectively horrifying things to my pets that taken out of context would not make me look good. But it's always, always in a loving tone.
My cat doesn't know I'm telling her she's a fat piece of lazy sh*t and she's keeping me from my work and ruining my life right now as she's purring on my lap, all she hears is mom doing cutesy voice. And the dog doesn't seem to mind me threatening to eat him for dinner or let him permanently live in the cold yard if he's walking in my way.. probably has something to do with the singsongy way I say it..
The tone is all that matters and OP, listen to your gut on this one please. You know what you heard. Keep your kitty safe please.
