This has happened to me before, even on books I'm otherwise enjoying thoroughly. I started skipping down on the page and just reading a random sentence whenever I'm stuck. After I intentionally read this largely out of place sentence I find I'm able to easily go back and pick up where I originally was! It's sort of a jump start for my brain.
