3.13 has the highest playerbase and the peak kept until 8 or 9 weeks after launched. 3.14 and 3.15 fixed a lot of problem of 3.13, and there you go, playerbase poof.

Sure 3.13 has a lot of problems, but GGG fixed them with a very bad way that makes 70% people leave in a week.

Good stats here, but another point that hasn't been mentioned yet is that cyslone fever is based on how fun the new cyclone is. You won't feel that punished for playing off-meta. While in 3.15, off-meta feels really bad compared to past leagues.
