It seems like every time Flying Iron patches their Spitfire, I have to re-learn the special sauce for taking off and landing. I've done so many patterns around Princess Juliana Int'l Airport that the bartender off Maho Beach knows my drink order. TNCM is a lovely airport to practice patterns on, incidentally. Nice, big runway, and if you land short your gorgeous airplane gets a wash.

Also, I think Flying Iron's coming out with their P-38 in the next month or so. Can't wait.

I don't think even on YL feels right. D3's big hit box is combo food for YL's aerials, and the versatility and speed of YL's projectiles make a slow boy like D3 unable to approach. Nair, 'rang, and bomb are all effective against Gordo.

So palming is only an illegal carry if you break the 90° plane and have your hand under the ball while maintaining your dribble. So gripping the ball while it's under your hand is perfectly legal, as long as you don't commit any other traveling/carrying violation. (Note that if the ball comes to rest in one hand, that's a double dribble. So when Michael grips the ball off the dribble with one hand, brings it to rest, and then continues with his dribble, that's a rules violation.)

*That said* no NBA ref was going to call Michael Jordan for palming or double dribble.

I would strongly, strongly suggest playing standard Pandemic before doing any of the Pandemic Legacy games, though. Especially with an inexperienced group. In Legacy, making a lot of big rules mistakes can be game-breaking.

That was Jordan's secret weapon. His ball control was *unreal* because he could palm the ball at will. Then he could just launch it in the direction he wanted instead of having to bat it. Watch him matched up 1v1 against some poor guard at the top of the arc, with the ball palmed and just surveying the court, and everyone in the building knows he's going to get his points.

I wouldn't say that I "didn't enjoy" base EH, but without the extra location encounter and base ancient one mystery cards in FL, the base game ancient ones would've gotten stale really, really quickly.
