Robin erasure is disgusting. I wasn't even that big a fan of Robin but good god. She really did shape him as a person and she was the first person to truly impact his life in a way he could deal with. Her and Carly both played a large part in shaping him, but Robin did a whole lot more. The writers are neglecting that to push this agenda, though. Two things can coexist; Robin arguably had the most influence over who he was as a person when he was just figuring that out and Carly has had a large impact on his life for a while and did help shape him.

Sonny should drag them. I want f bombs but I will be satisfied with some very creative name calling.

These characters don't work with their original characterization anymore and it's frustrating. I'm determined to stick it out until the end but jfc this is getting on my nerves.

This is really disrespectful to all of the other relationships they've had over the years too, because there were times where they both were like, "Eww. Gross." When someone thought they were dating. It's something that doesn't make sense. Carly's chaotic and impulsive; Jason's rational and thinks things through. Together they make great friends. But the whole thing about them being together romantically was closed over 20 years ago. And it's disrespectful for it to be rewrote that they've been in love with each other the whole time. Sonny was betrayed, Robin was betrayed, Jax was betrayed, Courtney was betrayed, Sam was betrayed, Britt was betrayed. Every single person they've had a relationship with got betrayed. It's sickening.

Sonny had better smash bar glasses (something I never thought I'd say, considering I hate Sonny.)

I didn't even like Jason and Robin that much but god, there's so much erasure of everything she did for him. Carly did certainly play a very large role in his life, but good god. I could see where, if he said, "Carly was the first person who didn't know who I was and didn't care about my past and even when she found out I didn't have a memory, she didn't care," or something along those lines but instead, it was, "Besides Sonny, she was the first person to accept me for who I am." That's disrespectful to fucking Brenda, for god's sake.

And Britt's mourning, while he's apparently just not caring about her? Girl needs to play Mr. Perfectly Fine by Taylor Swift and perform an exorcism of him from her life.

The fact they rewrote 2.5 decades of history is gross. I can handle shit being rewritten, but jfc. This isn't some random one off retcon about something small. This is a big fuck you to viewers who have watched for years and those who have just started but looked into it on YouTube.

Here's how I would handle the MOC messy feeling thing if I was a writer:

• they're projecting their grief onto each other (they're both grieving Sonny, who always kept them connected)

• I'm petty and hate Sonny and believe in 1999 being amazing because SJB and SB really fell into a groove (also you can never go wrong with SJB) so they can hook up. Drunkenly, obviously, and they proceed to never discuss it again because they are friends™ and will not accept that happened because eww cooties (what I told my friends who are convinced I'm going to be hooking up with a guy at homecoming, long story). They may have a discussion about it ("how drunk were we?" "too drunk, obviously") and that's as far as it goes. From there, chaotic "it's platonic!! we were just really fucking drunk!!" After six months that is never discussed again because eww.

• after that thing happens, they go back to being friends exactly as they were before but a bit healthier (boundaries!!! they are important!!!!). Both parties tell a former significant other they should've done better prioritizing people other than each other and actually make each other the second or third priority for once!!!

• from there, every person who's ever had a relationship with either of them goes to Charlie's, gets belligerently drunk and vents.

My best friend and I are overanalyzing. Best bet is they're pushing their grief onto each other.
