England took the stone of scone from Perth, which was what Scottish Kings were crowned on. So when that was gone Perth no longer held much sway. So Stirling became the capital because of its hugely defensive position to stop invasion from the South.

I would say it's survival. Daybreak provides a lot of one round stat buffs and stuns to stall the game out. Invoke provides units, buffs, stuns, removal. A lot of their spells are healing, health buffs and spellshield. It's all centered around survival which thematically is surviving the harsh conditions of the mountains, but in a very different way to Freljord.

From piecing together everything he's said about it there's obviously more chance of it being released than not. To me it's realism, not optimism.

I got the impression that he lost his powers after leaving the cave. The 3-eyed raven was giving him the green dreams beforehand and it was only the paste in the cave that activated the visions of the past. If he had stayed there and become tree Bran then he'd live as long as Bloodraven but otherwise just a normal lifespan. Now I think about it though he did use his powers at Winterfell didn't he?

HBO were willing to throw as much money as what needed for it and were offering them more and longer seasons. But they felt they could finish the story in less? I dunno. Its all so weird. We'll likely never know for sure. Again any time I think maybe they were overwhelmed by the success and expectation of it, I'm left asking why not bring in some other writers? I refuse to believe they couldn't see how some of it was an utter disappointment. Entire storylines were just thrown to the wayside. Plot armour aplenty. The dialogue was night and day compared to earlier seasons. I'm so angered and depressed by it all. They could have had an incredible legacy if it was even just alright.
