I think in a time with Photoshop, an eyebrow slit is about the easiest thing to either take out or put back.

I’m gonna play big sister here and say- this is an easy battle to pick, you could have said, “I’ll ask the photographer to give me some of the larger pictures without the eyebrow slit,” and been done with it.

Pretty much everyone in that movie is great. I cannot tell you how much I love William Daniels as John Adams- to me that’s his defining role.

I saw it in high school and every year after I watch it on the Fourth of July. I think I was like 35 when I realized the double entendre in “He Plays the Violin” and blushed for a good fifteen minutes.

Sometimes I wonder what Dick Van Dyke thought of that movie.

The delivery of “The turkey is a truly noble bird” cracks me up every time I watch that. That and, “Oh John, that was a new one…”

Howard De Silva is just pitch perfect in that role.

I really enjoyed watching the mayor vainly try to get our city to call the First Union Center anything but the Philly F.U. Center.

That is fucking awesome! How are the pretzels? Do they offer Cheez Whiz or that weird “somehow even more fake tasting than cheez whiz” yellow dipping sauce? Are they round or long? How long has that been a thing there?

Okay, I know soft pretzels aren’t just around here by any means (yes, I know of Germany) but I am so weirdly touched by this little bit of connection across the globe.

I’ve had baked goods made from homemade flour with incredible ingredients, wonderful butter, perfectly ripe fruit, and delicious glazes.

As someone said in this thread- basically anything that would be considered as assault in a non-sexual context. It’s not a perfect line but it’s a good rule of thumb.

If you think about it that way- ask before slapping, tossing someone around, yanking hair, etc- porn ‘teaches’ a lot of guys there is a pain/pleasure connection for women, and that’s not universally true.

You may want to consider that porn is to sex as superhero movies are to being a real firefighter. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a superhero movie, but it’s essentially stunt work for an audience- not how people would actually react to what’s happening in real life. Keeping that in mind makes it a little easier to see what you’re watching as normal or not.

Again, please consider those two questions if you cannot understand why there is an issue.
