You can take it anywhere with a CarMax warranty, though sometimes the deductible is higher if you don’t take it to CarMax first. I used to own a BMW and CarMax would almost always waive the deductible differential and tell me to take it to BMW since they couldn’t work on them properly.

I am generally not a fan of aftermarket warranties, but Carmax is seems to be one of the better ones. I paid about $4000 for the coverage on the car, and it wound up paying out over 10,000 by the time I sold it.
