Looks like we have very similar tastes. Woman to woman, I'd suggest the entire Pern saga by Anne mcCaffrey, and the entire Valdemar saga by Mercedes Lackey (uhm, skip the Collegium Cronicles arc, somehow they're boring as heck). Those are all classic high fantasy, can't go wrong, and if she's into cats, keep an eye out for something by Andre Norton, she puts cats in everything. Add Diana Wynne Jones, starting from the Howl's Moving Castle trilogy. She has a more fresh, modern style despite being a contemporary of the other two.

I suppose that's arguable, but when I was watching it was "FUCK you firefox" that got me, because it's relatable, Firefox occasionally decides to take up way too many resources just because there's a wiki page with some ads in some background tab.

Look, you can't get attached to everyone. I had favorites even in the old days, I never got attached to Sips or Turps for example. Probably you'll start to like some of the new additions, I really love Pedguin for example, and I like Lydia especially along with Lewis.

Me I can't get into TTT if there isn't at least one between Lewis and Rythian, they're the ones I tend to root for, if they're both not there, I might well be watching strangers.

in this case it's pretty much impossible to find the original if there even was one, but as a rule of thumb, "someone already ripped off the artist and made some bootleg shirts" isn't a good excuse to do it again. It's actually a big problem that I've heard a lot of artists specifically complain about.

I'm talking about the specific design, not the saying. I mean, sure, in this instance it's a pretty simple design, just writing and some crossed purple axes, not the peak of originality, but someone still sat there and designed it.

There's plenty of variants as you say, and I wouldn't really worry about someone copying one for personal use, but if you're going to commission someone, you can, and should, commission a pixel artist for an actual original design, not a copy of an existing one.

Why don't you try and seek out the design's author instead? Or pay someone to create an original design with that phrase? Honestly, the whole attitude of this subreddit that you can just steal any image or design, run it through pattern-maker.com or whatever and sell it is a bit upsetting.
