I think I personally represent exactly why they are doing this. I started watching the video. I saw the titles pop up and saw that it was StarSaber and said to myself wow this is going to make a lot of people who want him happy. Then immediately scrolled forward to see if there was anything I’d want to buy later. With even Supergod Masterforce most non Japanese G1 fans had a lot of those toys and fond memories. But like a lot of people are saying the Victory bots are so niche.

Honestly it was never a good idea. Polls were showing a what 51% chance of a majority, 45% minority and 4% conservatives minority. Maybe a little better. Did not seem like worthwhile bet.

Up here in Canada they lost a lawsuit for abuses in residential schools. Set up a special charity account to collect for it. Then paid their lawyers out of that fund and only paid about 1/5 of what the court actually ordered.

No medication or treatment is 100% effective. If that’s your standard then there is nothing medical science can do for you. But there is no credible dispute that the best thing you can do to protect yourself from Covid is get vaccinated.

Denied absolutely not OK. But if it’s a triage situation as it is becoming where beds are overflowing then it makes sense to give priority to the people who tried to do the right thing. If you have one bed and a person who took the vaccine and a person who didn’t all things being equal it seems a good tie breaker.

If you are planing to really use it like a combat map then grid. If you just want something a bit more visual than pure theatre of the mind, or something like the ranges in 2d20 then it’s perfect as it is. Looks great.

They have been saying that for years but mandating a healthy lifestyle, while perhaps a worthy goal, represents a huge interference in an individual’s life while a mask or even an vaccination is incredibly minor.

If you are opposed to a mask mandate or vaccination requirement you would absolutely lose your mind if they actually tried to enforce healthy diet and exercise. Even if it were possible.

Edit: actually it was Michelle Obama’s big initiative and there were cries that even what she was doing was government over reach.

I’ve embraced milestones but with a twist. Rather than just declaring levels characters earn milestones for completing minor and major quests. For example we ran Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh and I awarded 1 milestone for each half of the story (Manor and Ship) so the whole quest was 2. While the little getting the party together adventure was a minor quest worth 1 (hence the split on the next one). Players are expected to come up with their own personal minor and major quests. Example one player had a hook that his uncle had lined up a job for him with the miners just outside Salt Marsh. Other examples I gave players would learning a new skill or language or making an item , anything that can be done during another adventure or in down time.

To level up you need milestones equal to your proficiency bonus. So at low levels a pair of minor quests or a single major quest is enough. But at high levels they will have to really start pursuing their own interests to level up during the course of a single adventure. It has resulted in a couple players being one level up but it’s been very well received, though a few have been sleeping on giving me their minor quests.

Leader of the CPC is such a short term job you wonder if it would be worth putting it on your resume afterwards.

You do roll playing loving the rock. I actually used the exact example a comment up. You say how far you are trying to move it, how you are moving it (push, throw, pry) and what you want to happen. All of which affect how hard or easy the task is.
