Penny has talked up his positionless basketball. I think you’ll see a lot of people handling the point. If ALo averages 20 minutes per game, you’re looking at the other 20 minutes of the game with every player on the floor 6’5” or taller. Not sure how the offense will flow but the defense will be suffocating.

The PG situation isn’t at all ideal. Lomax is not a starting PG for a title contending team and the other guys are more natural 2s. I wish Penny would’ve used the Lawsons’ scholarships on a veteran PG transfer.

Deandre Williams was arguably our best player last year. He does it all but he was forced to play the 5 too much because Cisse was unplayable for most of the end of the season. I’m excited to see Williams and Duren in high-low. Williams is an excellent passer and very capable around the perimeter. Those guys should be monsters. There are way more questions at PG than in the paint as you point out. I don’t think Lester is a great PG option so I don’t really get everyone listing him as our starting PG. Penny loves Lomax so he’s probably getting the start which caps the ceiling.

Not competing for a title this year. They’re ahead of schedule on the rebuild but that doesn’t mean they’re going to rush it. Jonas and Kyle’s contracts are up after this season and they weren’t planning to pay them big money to come back. Might as well get assets for them before they walk.
