Anecdote:

My buddy and I were close friends for a while. He was having a kid and about to get married and he wanted me to be in his wedding. Things were great. Until they weren't. We talked throughout 2009 and then nothing.

He stopped returning my calls. He stopped replying to my texts. He stopped talking to me. I lost complete contact with him for over 2 years. He had a kid, got married, had house/rental.

I hadn't seen him for 2 years until he showed up at a mutual friends house. I was PISSED. I started "Guys Night" on Sundays. It was me and a few friends and we hung out almost every Sunday. It was our thing. And he shows up out of the blue like everything was fine.

2 years. No contact. Now he wants to be friends again.

We talked. We cried. We laughed. We became amicable. He was going through a tough general/mental health episode and just shut me out. It took me another year or so to fully trust him that he wouldn't shut me back out on a whim. But we're good now...

...Because we talked. We came to an understanding. If we didn't I would have this resentment. This bane. This anger. It is now gone.

Moral: OP, if this is eating at you from years ago, talk about it. Allow it to release. Otherwise it will just fester.

School grades

When I was a teacher, I would make a stew on Sunday while I cleaned. It was the best. I would get up, make breakfast (Egg and toast maybe sausage) while my coffee brewed then about 9-10 I would prep for dinner, ~7 hr slow roast. While that simmered all day, I would clean the apartment and go to the school to prep for the week. I didn't have to do anything while it cooked. Just everything else. I haven't done it since but I still think about it.
