If I made a thread on this subreddit that was like "Destiny isn't actually Nathan's father!", the burden of proof would be on me to show why. It would not be that unless Destiny presents a DNA test proving he's Nathan's father, my accusation should be taken as true.

This is not true, the burden of proof would still lie with Destiny because the claim "Destiny ISN'T the father" is a negative claim, as opposed to the affirmative claim that destiny would use "I AM the father". Burden of proof rests on those making positive claims.

Positive/affirmative claim: I have a degree
Negative claim: You do NOT have a degree

The burden of proof rests on REM, who is the one making the positive claim.

Now this doesn't mean that one can assert that REM has no degree, but the burden of proof does rest on REM

If you have the money to pay for a personal rocket, that money should be seized from you (at gunpoint if needed) and spent on the improvement of the society you belong to.
