That doesnt have anything to do with the efficacy argument. The issue is that 0.2% of mask wearers are wearing N95 masks. Most are wearing either cloth or paper masks. And all studies concerning the efficacy of N95 masks stipulate "perfect conditions", meaning a perfect seal over the nose and mouth, eye protection, no touching of the mask whatsoever, and removal with a gloved hand and then immediate no-contact glove-removal. The entire mask efficacy argument ignores this almost entirely. No child, and no non-medical adult takes these steps to ensure proper use of a medical grade mask. So, essentially you have a bunch of people using the wrong kinds of masks incorrectly, dropping the efficacy to a negligible rate.

Neither do I. Weird that was your take away.

This is not my anecdotal input. I was spanked and I am all kinds of fucked up. But as a card carrying member of the Millennial generation; I am the first to admit that we suck in comparison to previous generations, and the data is ample to support that; refer to above.

Every statistic comparing the generations. Millennials and Gen Z have an average mental health rating 34% lower than the three generations prior, according to the American Psychological association. (https://www.apa.org) In fact, every discernible metric has Millennials and Gen Z trailing far behind the generations that preceded them: social skills, friendships, travel, education, athletics, physical health, mental health, sexual health, personal finances, retirement planning, and of course; professional/career path. The data is readily available if you're brave enough to read it.

Moment 1: "Genuinely curious to hear why you think so." Moment 2: "I literally do not care what an anonymous...has to say.."

Sounds like I might have struck a nerve. Good luck with that lonely life.

I've poured over the scholarly articles and long term studies. I actually met my wife in grad school while she was involved in a long term child psychology study. There's definitely plenty of evidence to support, however there's also room to question how they actually manifest. Hard to deny results, though. The generations that were spanked all seem to be doing okay. The younger generations are floundering, famously.

"I don't give a damn what other people are going to say" is the exact mentally that has plopped us into our current polarized turmoil. It's a selfish and egotistical stance, on ANY topic. It's emotional and lacks pragmatism, logic, AND science. Telling someone to go live in fear because a parasitiforme with a minute statistical chance of disease transmission is the least helpful input in this entire forum. Millions of people enjoy the outdoors in tick habitat every day with no issues. With moderate care and attention, tick borne illness can be avoided. Thats this issue. Reading through your other commentary, it is abundantly clear that you have a high opinion of yourself and an over estimated valuation of your own IQ. You speak with confidence but are usually entirely incorrect. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that very few people choose to be around you, and its pretty clear why.

We had three spoiled brothers from a wealthy family in three different grades. The oldest got a teacher pregnant his senior year and became somewhat of a living legend. He was a major partier though and ended up running over some guy whilst drunk outside of a house party. His little brother tried to be the legend that his older brother once was, but ended up beating a girlfriend to death, then while awaiting prosecution committed suicide. Don't spoil your kids...especially your sons.

Further evidence of the net impact of video games.

I'm not speaking without experience. Your statements are not a universal truth. Theres plenty of parents out there doing it differently. I've experienced both first hand. I chose to raise children without video games, and sure enough, they excelled far beyond their peers who did things differently. But, the onus is not on me, its on you and those who advocate for video games to prove their value. What value do they provide? All the studies show the same thing: none. It's a mindless time waster. That's it.

No its not like saying that, at all. Those things are all actual art forms. Video games have no creative or intrinsic value, and those facts are regularly reiterated in peer reviewed studies time after time.

Yes, because video games are the only option for "play". Poor kids.
