Idk it was pretty invasive for me. Full hands on some physicians then I had a poor resident struggle and had her whole friggin arm stuck up me before labor a few days ago. I hate them, they hurt and I bled after every single one which was anxiety inducing. It was unnecessary because I never dilated and I plan to skip them next time because of how uncomfortable they were. I genuinely hate them lol

He's been graduated and out of residency since 2015. I've however hated the 24 hour shifts since those days because I find an overworked and overtired physician to not be ideal, though I do understand the reasons behind less turnover. His main shifts are 7's to 7's, a.ms and p.m.s. However, he moonlights if you're familiar with that, and these are the shifts he picks up with those other hospitals specifically. We are in AR without going into too much detail, where 24 hrs are pretty normal.

Doesn't change the fact he has switched shifts for other occasions before, reminding me he definitely could have done it this week. :/

He is a hard worker and granted probably overworked and becomes insensitive when tired.

Just this morning my mother was telling me I'm too sensitive and hard on him when I cry to her over this stuff and that some guys are "just like that" and what not. I'm starting to think, at least at this moment he really is a dick sometimes. And me being sensitive doesn't change or cause that. He's a good guy but I feel like I should allow myself to feel like he's an ass right now.

He's an emergency room physician so he has more trouble taking off from time to time. However, recently I lost my dad and he didn't switch shifts with another physician to come to the funeral and now the same with this birth. The thing is, since he's told me he just can't take off whenever, I've personally seen him take over other doctors shifts and switch for our oldest (his son from his first marriage) soccer games and other reasons for his coworkers. So it's obviously an option when he wants it to be. It just sucks.
