I know it’s probably gonna scar me but I’d love to try some fear toxin just for the thrill of it. Also to find out what I’m most afraid of. Could be fun :P

The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... strange

This is how What If is meant to be. Most stories in the comics end up way worse than the original timeline which makes them interesting and meaningful. Last weeks episode also had a similar situation but the ending had hope whereas the week before that had 2 seconds of ego yet didn’t show anything.
Marvel is finally leaning into more drastic storylines for the show which makes me more excited to see what’s next. Favourite episode so far.

I mean yeah fair enough. That’s how it’s done in the comics as well iirc

It was meant to be more of a murder mystery type of episode and explicitly stating the change at the start would have ruined it.

I’m from up north across the border and I’ve only ever heard or seen it as “whaling on”. I guess seeing it as “wailing” was off putting cuz that usually means a form of crying.

Ah okay never seen that before

What the hell is wailing? Was the kid just crying in anons face?
Edit: looks like wailing is just another way of saying whaling (which means smacking repeatedly) hence the confusion

I wonder how Nebula was adopted in the first place. I feel like Thanos probably culled her planet the same way as Gamora’s then adopted her. Maybe she’s angry at him for that and doesn’t want to tempt him into falling back into his ways after finding out about the power stone. Thanos also explains his conquest to anyone he speaks to so Nebula’s probably also mad that he feels so little remorse (but she only seemed embarrassed/cringed when he explained it to the Wakandans so idk).

Was Gamora even adopted by Thanos in this one? It seemed like T’Challa convinced him before he was able to decimate Gamora’s planet. Also it was explained that Nebula had a debt to pay with the Collector because of her eye so it was probably the Collector that modified it.

Yeah fair point. I wonder if he needed the power stone to defeat Thor on the ship. There needs to be flashbacks to that and also to the fall of Xandar (where we hopefully get Richard Rider as Nova Prime).

Yeah but mcu Thanos is way weaker. Comics Thanos could absolutely defeat Stormbreaker Thor without much thought but mcu Thanos couldn’t do it with the entire set of infinity stones. Same goes for the other avengers.
Obviously Hulk is also weaker than the comics but he comparatively seems to be on the same level as Thanos in the mcu (albeit not as smart).
I just feel like the mcu used Hulk as a measure of power instead of using him more seriously which defeats his whole persona of being “the strongest there is”. He should’ve at least had a rematch against the Mad Titan in endgame but we got a much weaker professor Hulk instead.
