It does, but anyone who actually watches the kill count should know that they are mostly good publicity for these new movies. I’ve watched a bunch of movies id never pick because I knew that a kill count was coming out for them. Unless James absolutely shits on a movie (which he never does) it’s just a free advertisement for the production company. The copy right strikes or claims James has to face always piss me off.

So hopefully as Dead Meat gets bigger, production companies will WANT James to cover their shit. I’d love to see dead meat become completely mainstream.

It’s just a huge grey area at this point. The problem is no one really knows exactly what is going to happen when a movie is covered.

Fear street for example is probably the newest movie/series he’s covered, and it was like a month or two after they came out. There is probably some specific process the Dead Meat team goes through to figure out if they are allowed to cover a movie released by a streaming service. The Fear Street Kill Counts have been all over the place (copyright claim wise) so even after some time, certain things are still more sensitive to production companies. Considering Parts 1 and 2 of Fear street have been claimed at least once, and Part 3 has not (and hopefully never will) there might be different rules based on different situations.

Also some companies are just assholes, and think only they should be able to profit in anyway off of their movies.

The IT remakes are awesome and I think stuff like the babysitter movies are fun. I get lots of my enjoyment from random goofier movies a lot as well. The problem with lots of the recent horror movies usually ends up being the delivery. Most of them have awesome plots and pretty good actors. It’s just the execution for me.

For example: The Room by Christian Volckman) is one of the more off putting movies I’ve seen with a really interesting plot. Shudder is a blessing though, so many great horror movies new and old so I’ve definitely been enjoying newer movies!

I made a similar post with these two titles being the top voted. Got them both, God of War I loved and have beaten 3 times aaaand horizon I got bored a few hours in. I’ll probably go back eventually, but it’s just very lackluster (story and gameplay wise) compared to God of War. Just my opinion though and I figured you should see this since I asked pretty much the same thing + Ghost of Tsushima

As far as PS4 exclusives go, I think HZD is pretty low on the tier list and God of War is sitting right up top next to the first Last of Us! I’ve had more of an inclination to play Cyberpunk than Horizon. Like I said though, just my opinion! I hope Horizon is more enjoyable for you because it’s a very cool concept.
