Agree. I’ve seen this occur at my company several times (I’m in accounting) and if they don’t net it from your last paycheck, the chances they would go after you are zero. Note this is not reflective of all companies.

This is so true. One of my colleagues accidentally let slip an anti gay slur at work, and I as a gay man heard.
I will never forgive her because I know for her, a professional, to “accidentally” say that in my presence, she must say it all of the time in her personal life.
I still work with this person for years and have an amicable relationship (as I have a really damn good job) but I cannot to tell her I heard her when I am ready to quit just to see the look on her face.

This is happening to us too soon. I wish they would wait until vaccines are 100% available to all no use rushing for us as our business has done amazing
I know our CEO is scared people will expect WFH as an option and they are very against it as we need to “collaborate in person”.
Backwards thinking, but they pay me a lot and I like the job so I’ll play ball a few more years.

I respect your opinion. But the soundtrack ! I listen to it weekly for years.
I’ve played through it twice over the years and look forward to it again.

If a bad review is a surprise, it is more a reflection of a bad manager. Nothing in your annual review should be a shock to you.

I have a bunch of these. I think they are called Pixel Pals. They had a bunch of great ones but they may not make any more. Harder to find on Amazon and the official site has most out of stock.

I love Eternal Sonata. An anime looking RPG about Chopin, his music, and death? Yes please!!
Great soundtrack, although really really low enemy variants. I need to replay it because I loved it so much. I still remember the ending

I do it as a tax planning strategy. I can’t contribute a lot to 401k due to being an HCE so I’m dumping tons into the NQDC. I’m in accounting so know the ins and outs of the company’s financial picture so am comfortable with the risk. I am planning my exit with the funds I’m putting into it as I can dictate how many years payout I want after I quit.

Agreed. I really don’t get these rich politicians. You only live once. Go buy an incredible mountain chalet and beach house and spend your precious few years on this planet hiking, strolling the beach, etc.

I did fed tax
I was approaching another busy season and thought I can’t do this again. Contacted a recruiter and interviewed for the first position they showed me because it sounded like a great company. I’ve been there ever since and plan to work here until I’m done. Definitely got lucky with it.

I did 4-5 years at Big 4 and moved to industry. Been at same place for ten years or so. Did tax at big 4 and started that at industry.
Picked up other areas when opportunities arises and moved to financial gl side.
I attribute some of my success to timing and other leaders leaving at just the right time, some to working at a fast growing successful company.

I don’t know about government work but have heard from other accountants it’s where innovation and efficiency go to die.
I’ve used creating efficiencies and improving our work for to stand out and it makes the work fun.
After Big 4 I lucked out on where I went (fast growing company) so it provided more opportunities.
