and rolling dice isn't completely random either (https://www.insidescience.org/news/dice-rolls-are-not-completely-random), but for our purposes, i think manually rolled dice and dice apps are random "enough"

because variants of the disease arise in populations of unvaccinated people. ergo, the more the unvaccinated people, the greater the likelihood of variant of arising for which the vaccines don't offer protection. look up the lambda variant that is circulating in south america. there is mounting evidence that perhaps it is resistant to the antibodies produced due to vaccination. so, no, this is not just a problem with the irresponsible people that decide to remain unvaccinated.

yes, and vaccinated people that have breakthrough infections suffer much milder symptoms (if at all) so if every gets the fucking vaccine then we can get the pandemic taken care of. but don't disregard the facts because they don't fit your narrative.

no, unless the specific deepstrike rule/ability/stratagem specifically says it can be used in the 1st battle round. this is covered in the matched play rules in the core rule book.

what's a sideboard? Is it that you can have different modules of your army that you can add to your list to tech to particular armies? So, some percentage of your army would be take all comers, the remaining percentage would be army-specific?

trying to figure out how to the use the in yncarne and wanted to make sure I had the following scenario correct (fully acknowledging its the edgiest of edge cases): if an enemy unit destroys one of my units during their shooting phase and I teleport the yncarne to their position, I can heroically intervene if there is an enemy unit with 3" at the end of their charge phase. BUT, do I get to fight first with the yncarne if the enemy unit doesn't have a fight first ability or the ability to put fight last on the ynarne?

If I had a death jester embarked in a starweaver, would I be able to use their Humbling Cruelty ability?

Yeah, the shield from harm ability is really good. I always struggle with leaving the SS off the table, but sometimes increased offense seems like the better option. You could add her back in, drop 2 skyweavers and one fusion pistol, and that get you to 998pts.

Could also consider dropping the SS altogether. The big loss with that choice in my mind is the shield from harm ability, but dropping her gives you more bodies on the table and a higher offensive output. The board at 1000 pts is small enough that losing the veil of illusion and twilight pathways shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Here's a list I like to run at 1000 pts:

Masque Form: The Frozen Stars: Hysterical Fury

Troupe Master [4 PL, -1CP, 65pts]: 6: Player of the Twilight, Choreographer of War, Darkness' Bite, Harlequin's Blade, Shuriken Pistol, Stratagem: Pivotal Role, The Twilight Fang, Warlord

blood libel is literally one of the foundational antisemitic myths and has been used for centuries to vilify jews. its no surprise that the venn diagram between the fucktards that were marching around charlottesville chanting "jew will not replace us" and the pizzegate/qanon conspiracy idiots is one contiguous circle.

In order to use an ability/strat that requires advancing (in my case, Prismatic Blur), do you actually have to advance in terms of distance traveled (i.e., normal movement + advance)? What if I want to move my Skyweavers only 4", but I announce that I am advancing and intend to use the strat?
