I’ve actually seen people get massively t-boned from this. It’s dangerous af.

I get so frustrated over this- it’s not polite it’s confusing. The safest way to drive is by being predictable, and giving me a big smile and a go-ahead wave when it’s not my right-of-way is being unpredictable.

I’m kind of curious and want to try this… I’m wondering if they just didn’t mix it long enough to allow the flour to hydrate with the butter? Or the butter wasn’t softened properly?

I have a recipe for cookies that has very little moisture in it, and the first time making it I thought that surely it would be dry sand. They’re actually very soft, delicious cookies.

I have a late 90’s/early 2000’s era house, so we have one of these spaces. There’s an electricity outlet up there (maybe for a lamp? Or Christmas lights?). It’s not really useful except to collect dust.

Though putting a bannister up there and a soft chair would make a sweet reading nook for my kid.

This happened to me when I worked at a Coldstone in high school. My parents didn’t let me work on school nights, so I worked Friday nights and the day shift on Saturday and Sunday. Day shift was always dead so I usually worked it by myself. I was supposed to be done by 4pm so I could be home and finish homework and stuff but one time the person after me didn’t show up… and then the entire night crew didn’t show up. Sunday evening was always bonkers anyway because people would come after family dinner and there’d be a line out the door even with a full staff… and it just was me by myself. I tried every chance I got to call my manager for help but she wasn’t answering. I was completely by myself with a line that was god knows how long. I was trying so hard not to cry, and most customers were empathetic once they got up to me to order and saw I was by myself (I made a fuck ton of tips that night), but it’s not like I could go much more quickly when every order at a Coldstone is a custom order so the line just kept getting longer. My manager finally shows up at like 8:30pm and sends me home.

It was awful. I quit shortly after.

I’m re-watching this show leading up to the new season. Loooove him in this show.

I did this on an international flight and it was awesome. Make sure you get up and stretch occasionally. Have a friend who you can chat with. It’s a lot to pay attention to.
