This right here. My company has an internal Git where all code is supposed to go and serve as proof the company "owns" it. However, they don't enforce it. I recently learned previous employees took my code projects from that Git and are using it at their current places of employment passing it off as their own.

PGP signature validation is a way to validate the downloaded application really comes from the vendor and is unaltered. Typically, a vendor posts their application's PGP signature on their website. When you download the application, you can use software tools to validate the signature. If the downloaded application's PGP signature matches what the vendor posted on the website, you can be pretty sure the application was not tampered with.

How can I verify the hash/PGP of the download?

A general rule of thumb for cryptocurrency, never invest money into crypto that you are not absolutely comfortable with possibly losing. Further, have you performed your own due diligence? Instead of asking random people on the internet if a coin is a scam, perhaps do your own research. Is the company hitting its deadlines? Are they transparent with the community? Does the project have forward momentum? Does it make sense to you?

Ultimately, if you're not doing your own research, if you're afraid of losing money (or worse investing money you can't afford to lose) then you shouldn't be investing.
