I always go with dragons breathe fire (or other assortment depending on setting) and wyverns typically have a venomous stinger on their tail. I'm also pretty sure they go with the forelimbs also being the wings for both ease of modelling (can base movements off of birds and bats) and as a small nod to realism (don't know of any 6 limbed vertibrates)

Yup, it's a nice addition to allow for those that wish to have it as a component of their character. I've allowed players to count has having used it in their backstory in higher level games without paying for it since it's a component of backstory and not reflecting active events in the game.
