Looking for the younger generations to 'save' us is like parentification at a cultural scale. It absolves the older adults who actually hold power of their responsibility.

It's like the IRS and audits.

Coinbase proactively tried to work with the regulators before releasing Lend while others did not. This is the reasponse they got.

It makes sense the issue keeps coming up for you, as the issues never get resolved and just keep piling up!
when I tried to resolve an issue.
That's the issue. It takes two to resolve an issue. If he's not interested in resolution, the two of you will never get anywhere. I know your frustration, I've tried everything with my avoidant partner of over 10 years - the timers, pauses, coming back to an issue later that day at an agreed upon time, nonviolent communication, scheduled timed relationship talks once a month that never happened.
It took me being ready to split and leave for him to go to a few therapy sessions. We'll see if any change sticks but I'm skeptical.

Depends on your role. As a full time W2 engineer in tech in the US, my requests to go part-time were rebuffed. So I quit and started freelancing.

If you spread covid to 8 people and they spread covid to 8 people and on and on that is a society impact. Therefore our decisions around a pandemic must take into consideration society and the people around us as our actions directly affect tens and hundreds of others.
If a woman aborts a child that she can't afford to raise and support, or that won't grow up in a healthy loving environment its impact stops right there. Abortions aren't communicable diseases. A decision to abort is a decision which impacts individuals and does not spread.

If I was at a more tender stage of my recovery in C-PTSD I would be shaken up lol.
Being banned really shook me. I was in the tender early stages of recovery. I was so worried I was bad, wrong, ill, etc (internalized my mother's projected shame and mistreatment) and looking for answers. Kittenmommy decided I had a personality disorder (! which was news to my therapist lol) but I'm not sure which one or why, it was based off my sub subscriptions or a comment elsewhere. Anyway I definitely internalized it at the time and felt lost without my main source of support group. It was quite dysregulating.
In the end it was healthy for me to move away from the sub, as it helped me move past the victim phase being in that sub every day and into deeper healing.
I'm sorry you got nonsensically banned.

The higher you go in academia, the less useful the knack for turning in weekly assignments on time is, until it eventually becomes meaningless (to the Nobel Committee).
I would argue the resilience, consistent effort, drive, and tenacity to do this week after week pays off in the long run. There are plenty of high IQ folks languishing after childhood for lack of work ethic. There are many in the 'after gifted' or adult gifted communities that lament about this issue.

Months? After 20 years of trauma it's taking me years to heal, regulate my nervous system, find and undo cognitive distortions, learn healthy relating, etc. Thanks Mom and Dad.

It needs to get worse before it gets fixed.
If it had a chance if getting fixed, it should have happened due to covid.
If a once in a lifetime pandemic isn't enough, I feel a bit hopeless on this front.

Yikes. Talk about controlling. They're treating you like an employee and setting themselves up for legal trouble.
If they want you to check their email every hour they need to be paying you each hour to do so.
