With 3D printers now people are able to 3D print completely functional and just as lethal guns. It is becoming a huge problem in many areas and police are struggling with it. These "ghost guns" have almost no way to track them and are easily and cheaply produced. You can try to get every manufactured gun off the street, won't matter, criminals and those who want them can still get guns very easily. All you would be doing is making it harder for law abiding citizens to properly arm and defend themselves.

Just to extrapolate on this. Typically the company you get placed at gets charged a percentage more for the recruiting agencies help. so, while you may get say 14 an hour the company is really being charged 18-20. This is actually beneficial to smaller to medium companies because HR and hiring is a very expensive and time intensive endeavor. Using recruiters or contracting agencies is much more affordable and typically somewhat easier.

I'd probably get a job at the local zoo

I love animals and zoos however getting jobs there is usually a pain. Typically they want you to intern several years for free. When you do get on you make barely any money at all and are expected to work holidays and sometimes every day of the week. I actually got an interview and was offered a position once and the scheduled was 4 hours a day every day and a third of the pay I was making at my current job. I respectfully declined.
