You need to strip the link of its preview settings, those make images save as .webp images which don't work. The link the OP provided in the comment above can be saved directly

That's why public transit in many countries is publically funded, it's in everybody's best interest to have good public transit in your country.

Car. And if you don't have a car then you just don't.

While that's true, things like that unfortunately still fall under the category of "not our responsibility". There are many countries on Earth that one could say would benefit from an occupation, but that doesn't make that occupation justified or likely to succeed.
We (the western world) can't go around simply occupying sovereign nations to impose what we view as just on them. As nice as the idea may be from some angles, it's not our responsibility to forcibly fix the issues of a people that have nothing to do with us. We can (and should) try to help through non-hostile means, but ultimately that responsibility falls to them.
It's just a tragedy all around, the Afghan people deserve better. I know the chance is low, but I hope they can find some semblance of peace and justice in the future :(

Not just shields either, I've turned a corner as Inaros and lost a quarter of my health to the bastards. Parvos dogs are on some real crack.

Yeah I was gonna say as well, I'm not a veteran player but I'm certainly not new and a level 3+ Sister forces my Inaros out of hiding. And even then, running 100% Scarab Armor and everything I've encountered fights where I barely made it out without a mission failure.
DE definitely got the Sister difficulty right IMO.

Gravitational pull at least seems to work more or less as it should, aside from all planets having standard Earth gravity anyways. Star Wars I find does adhere to the very base level physics, basically just enough to make it feel 'right' even if the actual laws of physics are broken all the fucking time behind the scenes, instinctively the world works as we feel like it should (to me anyways).

Doesn't change the fact that his armor was sealed off and not so easy to penetrate when you don't have a Jedi yank the torso plates apart. We see Grievous taking multiple point-blank explosions in TCW, if his gut sack was indeed that vulnerable he would have died several times.

COMMENT 13d ago
We've seen Grievous survive actual point-blank explosions (self-destructing ship, fuel barrel explosion) without a scratch multiple times, some fire would do absolutely nothing to him.

COMMENT 13d ago
It was actually a blaster bolt, the flames were only a consequence of being struck by one. Also, his armor was compromised at the time, unless you pull open his torso casing that strategy doesn't work.

I feel that it's worth pounding out that your two experiences can and do coexist, it just depends on where you live and what your situation is. Plenty of places that are happy to let people become homeless and get stuck with crippling student debt for the rest of their lives. It's good that your experience was better than this however, let's hope the slacking states and counties will aim to get there too.

That's what happens when you replace your practically perfect bred-for-combat soldiers with volunteers. Death Troopers are great, but they're not that great.

As a matter of fact, it does. But it requires Reddit Premium, and if it runs out it deletes all of the folders except for the main one...

The cold war did not come up in my history classes. The majority of what I know about the cold war I read up on as an adult, and every major side involved in it has done some fucked up shit. There were no good guys involved.

COMMENT 15d ago
I'd argue there were no good guys in the Cold War, just various shades of bad guys.

Kinda seems like it defeats the whole purpose of having a sex offender registry if it doesn't actually exclusively contain sex offenders...

What's the story behind these two shots? This comes across as a really powerful work of art, but I don't know the story behind these two, or what the two halves of the picture represent

Jango could be argued to be a Mandalorian but Boba is not, he even says as much in The Mandalorian. He's a man who inherited a Mandalorian set of armor, that doesn't make him one. He follows none of the customs, and it's fairly evident he doesn't consider himself to be a Mandalorian either.

Quite frankly it makes sense that they'd think that, three years into the war there was no end in sight. Had it not been manipulated into a violent and sudden end, who knows how long it could've taken for the Republic to come out on top, let alone with the end-of-war cleanup taken into account.
After all, had Palpatine not been able to just shut down the droid army once it had fulfilled its purpose, the Empire could've been fighting the remnants of the CIS armara for many more years to come.

That happened pretty late in the war and was only a temporary modification, his flight was shown to be pretty powerful even before that point.

Even ignoring the stuff the other commenters have already pointed out, what is the point of this comment even? To say that people can have a preference in what kids they want? To say that families with uneven gender ratios occur under natural circumstances?
You're responding to a commenter talking about certain provinces where it's entirely possible people commit child murder to get the kids they want, what does your comment have to do with that?

COMMENT 22d ago
Time and place my friend. While what you're saying is true, in casual conversation gender is used as a catch-all term all the time, this is not the right place to leave a comment on the matter

Still a bit of a silly complaint given that the current canon is fleshing out eras other than the PT, the Clone Wars era had its time in the spotlight, they seem to be working on the Imperial/OT/post-OT era at the moment.
But who knows, maybe the Kenobi show will give us something.
