Depends on the bread you're making. A simple no knead bread is extremely worth it and takes no longer than 15 minutes spread over the course of a day for a simple loaf - if you want some nice garlic bread or whatever.

Making your own bread is literally doing a minute or two extra while you're in the kitchen doing other things anyway. If you have an oven and it's not like ungodly hot there's no reason not to.
