i’d love to see it !! i’m a big sbi enjoyer but dream team are the people i watch most so i’d love to see them do well!! i’m not sure scott would let them have anyone like bad tho just bc of how extremely overpowered it would be

i think the predictability of how well each team will do is my biggest issue with it. there’s normally one or two teams every event that you can look at and go ‘oh they’re gonna win’ and they almost always do and then you look at the other teams and they usually place very similarly to how you think they will. i enjoy watching it in the moment but watching back vods i skip it almost every time. it’s just not exciting enough to be as entertaining as every other game

i think all the cool moments just happen because of the extreme situation they’re put in? if that makes sense? like dream’s gonna have all these cool moments more than anyone else because when is anyone else trying to speedrun minecraft whilst also being hunted? it’s not a standard situation that happens to most people in minecraft and so of course more cool stuff happens :)

you’re right in that it’s Possible but i think it’s a LOT less likely imo. in dodgebolt you can definitely just get lucky and good teamwork really helps. in any close range combat less pvp oriented players have way less of a chance. especially for players who play a lot of mc but not a lot of pvp eg philza, the hermits, etc

this does sound really fun and i like the idea of having variety in the deciding game! however, i’m not sure if i’d be on board with your suggestion of close range combat being used? for me the best thing about dodgebolt is that anyone can pop off! whether they’re like dream and always do well because they put the work in or if they’re like finnster and have a really good day and hit all their shots, even the lowest statistically rated players can do well, and that’s what makes it fun! with close range combat there’s way less of a chance of a less skilled player defeating a more skilled player and only rewards the pvp focused players. a lot of people who are good at dodgebolt aren’t necessarily the most sweaty pvpers and i really like that! for example imagine a situation where hbomb had to face off against dream. both would likely have led their teams to victory and popped off in certain games to get there. but there’s only ever going to be one winner of that fight and that’s dream, because h’s strong suit isn’t pvp. but that doesn’t mean h shouldn’t have a chance to win, if he’s brought his team this far! in dodgebolt he would have a much higher chance of a win and that to me makes it more exciting.

i think overall this could be a lot of fun but i wouldn’t want it to stray too far from the original concept of dodgebolt and for me i’d want it to keep the surprise element!
