That’s really interesting! From the distance you posted I agree, my brain feels like the original texture on the right is sharper but when I zoom in to specific spots I can see more detail in the cracks and divots. When making a level with these textures I suppose one might need to be discerning about where the player sees them, like only using them in tight hallways or small rooms.
