my point was there are a ton of exotics and mods that can get you your abilities back very very fast, if you had 80 or 70 discipline there would not be a huge difference in your build provided the rest of your loadout is optimized.

d1 stuff is new for a large amount of d2 players and all of it is free so its not really lazy, if they charged for it i could see things your way maybe.
