Big cats literally live 20 feet from my doorstep. Yes i see the danger. Would you want to just exterminate them? You want to relocate them? They are an important part of the ecosystem as stated. I chose to live near big cats. I live in their home. Its not my right to fuck up my local ecosystem bc im uncomfortable living by them. We have learned this lesson many times. Well thats nice you really only have to worry about rare events of predation. Not really the case here. My area has a coyote population that sees cats as a snack so if i ever had a cat (which i never plan on for the reasons stated above) it would be an indoor cat. He’d catch all the mice in my house and thats it:-) if i saw it kill a purple hummingbird outside for example id feel really bad, and thats coming from someome who hunts bird for meat

Do you have extensive wildlife in norway? Rare birds, insects or reptiles? Rare marsupials? Do you have natural predators like this big cat that can hurt your cats? I know plenty of ppl here in the US that have had “outside” and “barn” cats mauled by cougars, coyotes, neighborhood dogs etc. Just a bit different here in the US i suppose, friend!
