Well I’m pretty sure it was told as a humorous opener but also there’s an important lesson. Don’t sit around waiting on a miracle like they happen in Bible stories, use the sense God gave you and be thankful for the goodness of other people. It stuck with me as an 8 year old anyway lol.

To add to this - know that you can place chests all over the place, it doesn't have to be on your farm. I keep certain items in their chests close to where I will need them, and it also gives me a place to dump stuff if my inventory gets full.
