I'll be honest. I had never even heard of it until January of this year. But I was using PayPal and they had a big ad on the homepage about them now allowing you to buy crypto. There were 4 choices. I read the description of each and though ETH sounded the coolest. I wasn't even thinking of it as an investment. I was thinking, when PayPal switches to accepting these kinds of currency, I'll already be there. A day later, I started researching what I had just bought. Fell into the rabbit hole. Got my ETH out of PayPal and into a real exchange as soon as I could. And have very much diversified from there!

Some people start out with more, and that's just an unfair part of life. Like, I wish I could live with my parents and not pay rent like a lot of them do...or be married and have a dual income. I could have the same job and have thousands of dollars to throw at whatever I want. Instead, I have to be more conservative. What bothers me is when the people who were lucky to be in the above situations to begin with make a lot of money in crypto and act like they earned it by being smarter or something. No, you just lucked out by being in a situation with almost no financial responsibilities, at least own up to that.
