Bravely Default. It's basically a Final Fantasy game but you can borrow or stock a character's turns (up to 4x) which really changed up the "spam attack" meta that a lot of JRPG falls into.

That was patched fairly recently if that was your big hang-up with the game, loads about twice as fast as it used to.

Is the extra content good? I recently played Chrono Trigger on Steam and the extra content was for the most part noticeably worse than the base game.

Normally I'd agree but Star Wars technology can be really ridiculous, I don't know enough to argue it but it wouldn't surprise me if the suit has some durability feats that might protect Vader from an impact at normal driving speeds.

What emote is that?

Ah yes, instead we should be apathetic towards slavery because…reasons?

You could either go to B.C. or remain in classic but to clone your character and do both you had to pay up.

COMMENT 5d ago

They also kept relying on "borrowed power" mechanics that basically nobody liked except the bean counters at Blizzard because it increased or at least satisfied expectations of player retention.

Classic was basically sabotaged by them charging for BC character clones, which in a nutshell kind of describes how the company operates now since it's basically Activision wearing Blizzard's skin. They're also rushing through B.C. patches for some reason.

The story has been not great. Sylvanas has overstayed her welcome and is kind of in the same boat as SC2's Kerrigan at this point where the writers can't do anything with her but flip a switch between "redeem her" and "corrupt her". And this is after we already did alternate timeline shit and redeemed Illidan for some reason. It's a mess.

Mounts, glamming, aesthetician, things of that nature.

COMMENT 5d ago

It's slapstick, so that's definitely hit or miss. I was rolling my eyes when it started but it did make me laugh enough for me to come around to it.

COMMENT 5d ago

Hmm. Some might call that being offended.

It's literally not you psycho.

"Petty" and "disconnected billionaires", name a more iconic duo.

COMMENT 5d ago

Near the end-game you basically want to mainly use your ranged characters so make sure they have good weapons.

Just one though.

Republicans are currently making abortion illegal right now. Republicans spent the past eighteen months rallying against masks and vaccines. Republicans gave us Donald Trump and saw nothing wrong with it to the point they saw fit to vote for him a second time. Republicans turned a blind eye to the attempted insurrection in January. Republicans went nuclear a long time ago, stop acting like they need any justification to act outside of decorum.

He made me hate him, so he had that going for him. It was some composition of how frustrating he was to watch and how actually villainous he was but I didn’t just roll my eyes every time he came on screen like I did with Euron.

Fair, and I'm not sure there is a short-term solution unless the Democrats can whip up a small miracle but I agree, I don't see it happening with the current makeup of Congress. That being said, rhetoric is one thing, action is another; now the country has to actually deal with the ramifications of hardline conservative rhetoric come to reality, and like usual with conservative policies I think the country will find they liked the rhetoric more than the outcome. It's not much comfort now, but purely from a politics standpoint and ignoring how egregious this all is: the Republicans lost a pivotal card in their deck to keep Evangelicals in line and this will absolutely invigorate Democrat voters.

Look at it this way: this was inevitable. Now that Roe v. Wade needs to be codified we can move forward into an era where access to safe abortion can be guaranteed by law rather than hanging on by a court decision. But people gotta fight for it for that future to come to fruition.

This. I had issues with Ramsey as a villain, I think he had way too much plot armor and acted like he had nothing to fear for somebody basically begging to receive the Julius Caesar treatment from his underlings, but that aside he was still a good villain. Euron was just a twat.

COMMENT 6d ago

So it wasn't invalid but it "didn't matter". I think you believe you are more open-minded and kind than you truly are because otherwise you wouldn't have to walk it back with weak apologies like this.

I think if your position is that valuable you typically make enough to be able to afford a somewhat extended period of unemployment.

Even if you do optimal stats the game will still stomp you if you turn the difficulty slider all the way up. Which is the final component of the problem here, the janky stats are paired with a janky difficulty SLIDER (itself an insane concept) that ranges from incredibly easy to ā€œso difficult you still have to rely on janky mechanics to surviveā€. I love this game but there’s no right way to play it.

The problem is that you run into the level cap before the stat cap if you do that. It makes no sense that you would artificially stop improving at things.
