Thought I’d share this bit of info from my brother-in-law, who is a professional dog trainer. Of course, this is second-hand info, and I am fortunate to have never been in a situation like this.

He said when a dog is attacking a person or another animal, your best bet (as a bystander) is to grab them by their hind legs - close to where their legs meet their torso, NOT the paws - and lift them up by the back legs, far enough off the ground that the dog is forced to stand on its front legs. This throws off their balance and will generally cause them to let go. If the dog lets go, drag them away from the victim, turn them 180 degrees to where they are no longer facing the victim, and attempt to secure the animal, if possible.

Again, I’m simply passing along this info because most people resort to kicking/hitting the dog or throwing things at it, which can actually make things worse.

I never said I expect to my family to think just like I do. That would be ridiculous. But I work in healthcare and a select few of my family members have verbally harassed/threatened me because they are so bought into this plandemic + Qanon bullshit. So yeah, I cut them out of my life. It is heartbreaking - but I have to prioritize my own mental health and sanity.

Agreed, and I believe it will only get worse. They have completely lost the plot on a level that it is scary and even dangerous. As you said in your comment, this is a problem on a massive scale. How do we bring these people down to earth? Is it even possible? What’s the plan here?

I am sincerely asking because I have family members who believe this shit. I’ve had to cut many of them out of my life because they are so far gone that they’re unrecognizable. You can’t even hold a coherent conversation with them. It’s heartbreaking.

Lived in Dallas my whole life, so, yes I have. And you’re right, traffic is an absolute nightmare. I’m assuming a bunch of these flights were coming to/leaving Trump’s loser rally in Dallas this weekend.
