Seems a weird choice to leave it out
A deliberate, and petty, choice made by OP, who only posts maps like this.

lol, I find the exclusion of Norway, Switzerland and the UK to these maps rather petty. Even if they aren't in the Union, their presence as neighbours (or former union members) definitely had a sway on the outcomes of the other states. It applies to this map and the many like it.

As a South African, I was surprised to find that some groceries in the UK are actually cheaper (except for fruit, honey and most vegetables)

Same, bought at peak in Feb and it's only coming close to parity now.

As usual, the countries where people are the biggest contributors to climate change and the least affected by it are the most skeptical of its arrival. Also, there are strong propaganda efforts by right wing and corporate interests at work in the west. A lot of multinational oil corporations have literally spent decades sowing dissent and doubt, the end result being climate change denial and anti science attitudes (the fact that people refuse to wear a mask during a pandemic is a perfect example).
No one is immune to propaganda.

'Black Swans' are an unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences. Black swan events are characterized by their extreme rarity, severe impact, and the widespread insistence they were obvious in hindsight.
It's a common phrase, why wouldn't he use it?

yeah I don't know how you're confused, that seemed pretty obvious enough from the headline OP used

except they didn't extract any of those fucking rare earth resources while they controlled the territory. Can't speak to the opium though, when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan before 2001 they implemented a widespread ban which sent the exporting crashing down, which swiftly recovered and then vastly eclipsed former volumes when the US took over.

This right here is why the 'War on Terror' is so pernicious. People who were kids, or ill-informed, when 9/11 happened still somehow believe that the Taliban or Saddam Hussein had something to do with it, despite there being absolutely nothing linking them.
That said, I think the commenter above you is insinuating that the Saudis (like Mohammed Bone Saw) were the only people who could get away with it. Again, it's well known that the extended Bin Laden family was on one of the few flights allowed to leave the US after the attacks happened.

As a non-Englishman living in the UK, what’s with all the blatant racism and Anglophobia lately? Just because they left a fucking trade Union, you guys think they’re the only country that beats their wives? Wtf is wrong with all of you, especially you OP?

Don’t forget the countless bombs dropped on Laos? Still maiming people to this day, or the toxic napalm in Vietnam, or experiments done on US citizens. Great people.
