Yeah I have no illusions about this upgrade making me faster. It's more about immersion and improving the sim experience to something a little more realistic.

I'm not really worried about USB or the PC side as much as things like EMI. Plus, I just don't have the ports, so I need to add a hub as well. It's not a deal breaker (I'm running separate wheel and pedals now), just a nice to have to be able to plug and play a system.

Thanks, that helps.

Thanks. If I end up delaying more I might just go that route. I'm a little leery of being an early adopter with Simagic. Their wheel system is nice though.

It's not just going outside Fanatec, I'm just in general worried about mix and matching stuff and making sure it all plays nice together. Ecosystems, Fanatec's or otherwise, are nice because it's all developed and tested together as a system.

I've heard the polymer QR actually fits a little tighter than the metal one. Don't you need the metal one for 8Nm or only the DD1/2 bases?

There's no in car indication of wear other than feel. They try to mimic real life where the tires have to be gauged in the pits to know the wear levels.

I honestly think his style will translate well in F1 for a lower mid field team. We've had a lot of guys that are super quick come in and struggle because they can't be consistent or are error/crash prone. He's not spectacular, but accumulates points by not screwing up (his last race not withstanding) and driving steadily and managing races.

They only hate each other if all you know about them comes from DTS.

The extra exposure he would bring to the team from the Chinese market alone would make it a no brainer. It would lift the team's profile immediately and increase value for their existing sponsors.

Get Ronnie Bell some new ligaments. :(

They're massively different in how they got their results though. Mazepin was an aggressive, borderline dirty driver who also wrecked a lot, Zhou wasn't spectacular but generally solid. Given how badly some rookies have flamed out despite having quick pace on a good day, maybe a steady, conservative driver makes the transition better.

Is the reduced effectiveness actually down to the original vaccine not matching Delta as well, or is the new variant simply more effective at infecting and replicating? The article seems to imply the variant is better able to get into cells.
They found that the Delta variant was more efficient at breaking into the cells compared with other variants as it carried a larger number of cleaved spikes on its surface. Once inside the cells, the variant was also better able to replicate. Both of these factors give the virus a selection advantage compared to other variants, helping explain why it has become so dominant.

What are you on about? There's literally two sentences in the entire article mentioning why she attacked the teacher and the first one doesn't even mention abuse
The victim stated 28-year-old Kasey Marie Brooks was upset over an incident pertaining to how her child was handled on Tuesday.
.
We can also confirm another report has been filed against the teacher for allegations of child abuse against Brooks’ child, which is apparently how this all started.

The only circuit where I bother with it is Mt Panorama. I set the bias forward for the downhill section so the car's not as unstable.

What the actual fuck, the whole article frames the mom as some psycho that beats up an old lady and only mentions off hand the teacher might have abused her child.

Neither of those guys are pay drivers, they're both deserving drivers that happen to come with backing. They're in a lot better spot financially, but if it's between two similarly talented guys, I'd be surprised if money didn't tip the balance.

It would only work if one of the cars is a designated development car that's ineligible for points. Even then you could have shenanigans where that car can mess with the rivals' scoring cars. I don't think it's a good idea as much as I'd like to see more seats.

Williams needs money and Albon brings his own funding (Thai sponsors). Zhou could also be interesting for them in terms of opening up the Chinese market (and also bringing in money directly).

I don't know that the banking helped that much, there still seemed like there was one optimal line that was significantly quicker. The actual star of the track for overtaking was T1, which actually seemed to have two lines despite not being only slightly banked.

Don't throw the car into corners as much. The mid engine cars rotate a lot more easily, which is a good and bad thing. Learn to find the threshold before the rears break loose and don't go over that point, which usually means gradual, quite minimal steering input.

It only looked like a few hundred cases because there wasn't testing availability. The cat was out of the bag for a long time before anyone even knew it was in their country.
