$1,600 for me. No unemployment. There were long periods of time where I had to consider breaking into empty homes just to have a chance at getting to the food in their fridge or get caught and have steady meals for a while.

Makes sense, I can understand that. I really only expect a keyboard to last about 5 years or so anyways, so the fact that this one has performed so well even after that makes me pretty happy.

For the fulfillment though I'll probably start doing it more. It does feel really nice to have a brand new feeling keyboard.

Twice a month? Jesus fuck. I give my keyboard an alcohol bath probably once a year. That seems like a very intense regimen to maintain from my perspective.

Also my keyboard is 6 years old now and only has the A, S, and D keys worn away. My controller gets significantly less use so I've never actually taken it apart and cleaned it. Well, just the one time when it was basically brand new and I painted it.

To answer your question as simply as possible: Yeah. People here think they're free. And, honestly, rightly so. I am indeed free to leave my house tomorrow, travel all the way across the country and start life anew. I am free to take guns with me and in most states I am indeed free to get access to high quality mental and physical healthcare at virtually no cost out of pocket.

To expound: There's a caveat to everything which everybody here does their best to ignore. You could leave your house tomorrow and travel across the country. You will be pulled over for basically anything. You'll likely receive a ticket. You have to appear in court in the state you received that ticket (or you're "free" to pay it online) or a bench warrant will be issued. You could start life anew in another state but you have 10-14 days to update your current address and get a new license, and registration for your car, or you will be ticketed. You're free to take a gun with you but if you conceal it and don't tell an officer, it's a ticket. If you have weed on you too, it's a felony. If you have a medical card to use cannabis, you can't qualify in any state for a concealed weapons permit. You're free to utilize the high quality mental healthcare, if it's high quality in your state and Medicaid covers you which, I promise, it doesn't.

You're free to go fuck yourself and even that I sincerely wonder, when and how they will find a way to fine you for that. I've also loved watching my canyons and parks be free.... up until the last 15 years; they're almost all pay for entry now.

You ever been a kid and had a parent die? I have. I was 16 when I lost my mother in a tragic accident. Imagine the 16 year old version of you and what that person probably said to your mother without ever thinking she could be gone before you had time to apologize.

Missed graduations. Missed proposals. Marriages. Kids. Grandkids if your parents make it that long. Every defining moment for the rest of that kids life will be soured by the notion that someone who should be there celebrating, is not. The blame that this kid will feel...in no way was it his fault, but it'll take years of therapy to convince him of that.
