Honestly, I’m surprised no one in the series mentioned how the instant Itachi was born he had perfect sharingan and started speaking in proverbs. Thatd get the Itachi tards foaming at the mouth.

That’s not true at all. It means how a character has changed.

That’s because there are characters genuinely stronger and better then Itachi. Madara, nagato, some of the Kate’s etc. But Itachi still has everything he needs to one shot them. Minato gave his life to seal half the nine tails. Itachi could have done it in seconds with no diff with a sword. Itachi was 100% seen as godlike. Your wrong to think otherwise. That’s why even after death kishi kept shoving it down our throats that he’s amazing. This the 1st saying how much better he was and the 3rd saying how wise he was. Not once has he been seen as vulnerable or not in control.

Learning about a characters back story isn’t development.

That’s all reaching. Like I said him admitting to his failure just made him seem more humble. Aside from that most of the fandom agrees he didn’t have much of a choice and is a hero for doing that. And love doesnt necessarily humanize a character. That’s such a broad characteristic. No ones saying they can relate to Itachi because they love their brother. No shit, everyone loves their brother. Itachi is a walking hax and everything in his character is made to make the viewer fall in love with him. Nothing about his character is actually relatable or human aside from basic shit that literally everyone has.

Tbh a lot of manga readers expected way too much and became overly invested in their theories. The ending might not be absolutely perfect but it’s no where near as bad as the people on r/titanfolk make it sound.

I have a feeling the anime will do the manga ending much better. Even if it’s the same ending they won’t have to rush it and could change the dialogue enough to make things more clear. And the second ending could be a post credit scene.

That’s odd to me. I thought kishi really pushed Itachi on us because of his popularity among fans. I know he’s said in interviews that’s his favorite akatsuki member.

That’s part of it. Another part is he’s never come close to losing a fight. And he was heavily Nerfed in all of them too. He solod sasuke and orochimaru on his death bed and blind. And kabuto as an edo (they say that your not at full strength as an edo but Itachi was actually much stronger so he wasn’t actually nerfed there.) and he was never actually challenged in anything. No one was seen as his equal in power, he was constantly getting new tricks to keep better and he was smarter then everyone as well. Not to mention his weakest technique is pretty much an instant kill. Dude straight up had every advantage and didn’t need to try. Give tsunades pig an invincible sword that wins any battle no questions asked and hed be soloing anyone too.
