I just wanted to chime in that there are many therapists that are willing to negotiate a non-insured rate. After it felt like I'd exhausted my options looking for someone that took my insurance I managed to find someone who would see me for only about ~$20 more than what my copay would've been. She gets less, but says it's worth it not to have to deal with insurance on her end. If I were looking now, I'd first try to approach therapists who see patients in their own private offices at home. I feel like less overhead allows them more flexibility to be able to do this.

Honestly if I'm wearing a white shirt and we're having spaghetti at home I'll change into a dark shirt. There's always some little speck that gets on and stains the shirt and I'm tired of dealing with em. It never even occurred to me that people would eat without a shirt.

There's a type of tick that gives you an allergic reaction to red meat. It's worse than you think though because it's the only known food allergy that causes anaphylaxis several hours after exposure. To confirm, that means that yes, you can get bitten by a tick, eat a burger 3 months later, and then die four hours after that when your throat closes up and you can't get to a hospital because you're in Mississippi ffs.

My old boss did that, lived in WV and commuted all the way into Bethesda every day. He spent DC money on WV land, so he lived well. His commute was long, but he shifted his schedule off-peak, spent the extra money on a very comfortable car, and genuinely appreciated having long and quiet car rides to himself every day.
