Thank you. We are not far off and still hunkered down. The aftermath is what I’m worried about.

Here, since you asked and I figured I should share :

Starting in the mid-1990s, Harris spent almost 20 years with a practice in infectious disease, treating HIV patients and hospitalized patients with difficult and sometimes hard-to-diagnose infections. He left the practice to become an area health officer over seven north Alabama counties in 2015. He became acting state health officer in 2017 and was named state health officer in February 2018.

Harris said the politicized nature of some of the debate over COVID-19 policies has made it hard to cut through the noise at times.

“I think the single most challenging thing has just been the facts don’t win the argument sometimes or even most times,” Harris said. “People tend to pick whichever facts they want that supports whatever they were already going to believe anyway.”

Harris trusts the research behind the COVID-19 vaccines and hopes to help convince others. But he’s respectful of those who have their doubts about getting the shots.

“There are lots of people that have lots of very reasonable questions and ideas that they need to explore and information they want to obtain before they make a decision,” Harris said. “And that’s perfectly reasonable. So, we’re trying to explain to people how we see the evidence on the vaccines, what we think about the safety and effectiveness of them.”

Harris said he believes the overarching lesson from the pandemic will be the need to close gaps in health care access.

“I hope that people recognize that pandemics have always been around for human history,” he said. “We’ve always had them and this is only the latest one and we’re absolutely going to have them again. So, hopefully we can be more ready next time.”

Nah. Don’t have time to waste. Do your own research. I will definitely call people out who troll though. That’s a bet.

Edit: And it’s a shame you and others online think we Southerners are dumb and or ignorant. We are neither. Some people here are mislead, sure and they are a loud minority. The rest of us just have to live with it, I guess.

Now imagine those 2 DIVA congressmen Moulton and Meijer who went there had got hurt in the terrorist attack, how would that play locally?

Also, were those two idiots in any way responsible in distracting or hindering our security setup that might let the terrorist slip through the cracks and attack us? Someone needs to investigate and if found guilty then hold them accountable.

Correct. Mistakes were made. Hope we learn from it and get better.

Our intention was to not escalate things while we were leaving. Our mission is to safely evacuate Americans and our Afghan allies. We responded in kind when we were attacked. This is just the beginning, hoping severe action follows. No ground troops possibly, but drones and other tech as necessary.

Where are you getting your facts that say’s this guy was not part of the terrorist group trying to attack us?

Your comments seem to suggest we should just tuck our tails and leave. Not going to happen. As for Biden wanting to actually end the war and bring us home, kudos to him. Good initiative, bad judgment. Could’ve done more in the short time he had, sure. This sort of thing was bound to happen, sure. And yes, we definitely retaliate when we are attacked

Our marines were killed in a terrorist attack and Biden responded in kind. This is just the beginning. Stop gish galloping. If you don’t like it, MOVE, isn’t that what was said from 2016-2020. Short term memory, much champ
