Is the Borg Queen an Orion now?
Reminds me of Shiala from Mass Effect, the asari that was possessed by the sentient plant Tholian.

I hate the Borg queen concept
The version in First Contact was fine. She was basically just an avatar for the Collective, possibly a gestalt consciousness. As she said, “I am the Borg.” The problem is later writers didn’t get that.
Even with that, the scariest part of the Borg originally was that they were just this undifferentiated swarm.
If i were gonna write the Borg going forward, I’d have the queens be a failed experiment to elevate one drone to the role of tactician specifically to deal with the Federation. It didn’t work, so they don’t do it anymore.
That’s a good punch-up. I’m in!
Still removed part of what made the Borg interesting. They were faceless, emotionless, a biological machine just set to assimilating everyone.
